Doty and Murdock Selected for All-Star Games

BUFFALO, NY - A pair of former University at Buffalo football players were selected to play in postseason all-star games. Tyler Doty will play in the Hula Bowl and Red Murdock will play in the East West Shrine Bowl.

Doty was a three-time All-MAC offensive lineman earning second-team honors in 2025 and third-team honors in 2024 and 2023. He was the first offensive lineman in program history to be named All-MAC three times.

Doty is the fifth player in program history to compete in the Hula Bowl.

The Hula Bowl will be played on January 10 in DeLand, FL.

Murdock is the seventh player in program history invited to the East West Shrine Bowl.

The former UB linebacker capped a stellar career by being named All-MAC First Team for the second straight season in 2025. He finished his career at UB ranked eighth in program history in career tackles (364) and tackles for loss (39.5) and is the NCAA recordholder for career forced fumbles (17).

The East West Shrine Bowl will be played on January 27 in Frisco , TX.
