BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo swimming and diving program returns to action in the Alumni Arena Natatorium this Saturday at 1 p.m., hosting Duquesne University in a head-to-head competition.
The Bulls enter the meet with a 3-1 record on the season, as the Dukes remain undefeated at 2-0. The competition will mark the 11th meeting between the programs, with the Bulls leading the Dukes, 8-2, through 10 matchups.
The Bulls enter the second half of the season with momentum, posting nine personal records that joined the program's all-time top 10 before the midseason break. Freshman Pinar Donmez was responsible for two of the nine performances, including a new school record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:13.98 at the Zippy Invite. Ava Pauly rose to fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke ranks at the UB Invite with a time of 1:01.94. Bella Forsman earned the ninth spot on the program's leaderboard in the 100-yard butterfly (54.93), the fifth event the sophomore has joined the all-time top 10 in.
The Buffalo divers enter the second half of the season with a list of accomplishments. Presley Dorsett, Mallory Hanna, Adele Melamud and Sophie Meuwissen have all qualified for the one-meter event at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships this spring.
