Bulls to Host Southern Miss. in Season Opener for the MAC-SBC Challenge

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) and Sun Belt Conference (SBC) announced the second matchups for the 2025 MAC-SBC Challenge on Tuesday afternoon. The Bulls will host the Southern Miss. Golden Eagles (11-22, 5-13 SBC) on Monday, Nov. 3rd. This will mark the second all-time meeting between the Bulls and Golden Eagles. The only other meeting took place on Dec. 28, 1995, at the Utah State Classic in Logan, Utah. The Golden Eagles won the contest, 77-71.
Scheduling assistance is provided by Ordinal Sports Group. In addition to relevant NET data, geography and frequency of past contests is considered in determining the matchups.
Each MAC-SBC Challenge game will be carried on an ESPN platform.
Game 2 of the Challenge will be played on Saturday, Feb. 7th with the opposite conference hosting. These match-ups will be announced on Monday, Jan. 5th.
