BUFFALO NY – The University at Buffalo Track & Field program has selected Spencer Cameron-Pressley to join the team's coaching staff as an Assistant Coach, specializing in jumps and combined events.
"We are very excited to welcome Coach Cameron-Pressley," said Program Director and Head Coach Vicki Mitchell. "He has proven success in developing student-athletes and experience coaching in the Mid-American Conference. At the University at Buffalo, he will oversee coaching student-athletes who compete in jumps and combined events, as well as recruiting field events. Coach Cameron-Pressley is familiar with the University at Buffalo and the Western New York community, making him a natural fit for our program."
Cameron-Pressley joins the Bulls after two seasons of coaching sprints and jumps at Toledo. Throughout his time with the Rockets, the program had five athletes join the all-time school ranks. Under his guidance, several student-athletes improved their performances, finishing inside the top seven at MAC Championships and earning points for their program.
Cameron-Pressley also has prior coaching experience at Heidelberg University and Buffalo State College. In those roles, his athletes earned several honors including all-conference selections, all-state selections and even an NCAA National Qualifier in the long jump.
A native of New Rochelle, NY, Cameron-Pressley was a dual-sport athlete competing in both track and field and football. He graduated from Buffalo State with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a minor in coaching. At Buffalo State Cameron-Pressley was a two-sport athlete, competing in track and field for four years and football for three years. He then earned his master's degree in sociology from the University at Buffalo.
