
Coach Todd Witzleben To Be Inducted Into The Western New York Running Hall of Fame on Friday

BUFFALO, NY - Track and Field Associate Head Coach Todd Witzleben is set to be inducted into the Western New York Running Hall of Fame on Friday for his athletic success as an athlete and dedication to coaching.
A native to the Buffalo area, Witzleben won eight Section VI Championships at Orchard Park High School across track and field and cross country. He was also the New York State champion in the 3,200 meter run in 1999.
As a coach, Witzleben has coached 14 Mid-American Conference cross country champions. The Bulls have also seen numerous school records and top performances under his guidance, including four new school records last year in the men's distance events of track and field.
Witzleben attended La Salle University following high school where he earned numerous honors as a student-athlete. As a distance runner, Witzleben won six individual Atlantic 10 Conference Championships and qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships. He was also a four-time All-American and was La Salle's Student-Athlete of the Year in 2003.
Witzleben moved to Los Angeles after his career at La Salle where he joined Nike Run LA as a professional runner and starred in the Nike "Chariots of Fire" commercial. He even found time to return home to Buffalo and pick up victories in consecutive Turkey Trots in 2005 and 2006.
