Seven Bulls Earn Individual CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – The University at Buffalo Swimming & Diving team had seven athletes earn individual Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), including Marialis Kwak earning First Team honors.
Kwak, a junior chemical engineering major with a 3.69 overall GPA, was named the MAC Women's Diver of the Year, earned First-Team All-MAC honors, won gold in both the one-meter and three-meter events at MAC Championships and was an NCAA National Championship qualifier in both events. The junior also posted a career-best score in the one-meter dive of 313.00, a mark that ranks third in program history.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
The Bulls had six additional athletes earn Second-Team All-America honors:
