Brackets Revealed for MAC Championships

KENT, OH – The brackets were revealed for the MAC Wrestling Championships that begin on Friday at noon at Kent State's MAC Center.

Max Elton is the eight seed and will open against JB Dragovich of George Mason. It will be the first meeting between the two.

Tommy Maddox is seeded fourth and earned a first-round bye. He will face the winner of the (5) Marcel Lopez (SIUE) vs. Brandon Wittenberg (George Mason) match.

Caleb Brooks is the eight seed and will open against Jacob Brennerman of Edinboro.

Kaleb Burgess is seeded sixth and earned a first-round bye. He will face the winner of the (3) Caleb Tyus (SIUE) vs. Kaden Cassidy (George Mason) match.

Nick Stampoulos is unseeded and drew fifth-seed Alejandro Herrera-Rondon of Clarion in the first round. While the Bulls and Golden Eagles did face each other last month, this will be the first meeting between Stampoulos and Herrera-Rondon.

Hunter Shaut is the sixth seed and will face Northern Illinois' Tommy Bennett in the first round. The two faced off back in February with Shaut coming away with a 4-2 decision.
