Bulls Defeat Siena 5-2 on Saturday

LATHAM, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team started the weekend off strong with a 5-2 win at Siena on Saturday.
The Bulls got off to a good start, taking the doubles point as Cheng Tang and Yu-Shiang Huang won 6-4 at first doubles and Daniils Snaiders and Finn Macnamara followed with a 6-4 victory of their own at the third position to give UB a 1-0 lead in the match.
UB then continued their strong play in singles action, winning four of the six matches. Snaiders overcame a dropped first set and battled to a victory at first singles, winning 6-7, 6-3, 6-3. Artem Alekseychuk earned a solid win, 6-4, 6-4 at second singles and Theodoros Mitsakos picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at fourth singles. Freshman Michael Malkin rounded out the scoring for UB with a 6-2, 6-3 win at the fifth position.
Up next, Buffalo concludes weekend action tomorrow with a 10am match at Princeton.
