BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo Track & Field team added three new assistant coaches to their staff ahead of the 2024-2025 indoor and outdoor seasons. The Bulls hired Izeal Bullock as their Assistant Throwing Coach, Spencer Cameron-Pressley as their Assistant Jumps and Combined Events Coach and Kassandra Nolet as an Assistant Distance Coach. All three additions to the coaching staff have ties to the Buffalo area.
Bullock enters his first season with the Bulls being no stranger to Western New York. A graduate of Sweet Home High School and Buffalo State College, Bullock is a native of the area and has spent his career giving back to the youth through coaching and teaching. Since 2004, Bullock has been an assistant or head coach at both of his alma maters, as well as St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and the Frederick Law Olmsted School.
While at Buffalo State, Bullock guided a national champion in the men's outdoor 110-meter hurdles and a third-place finisher at the men's indoor national championships. He also coached a women's steeplechase and pole-vault school record holder. During his next stop at St. Joseph's, Bullock led current Bulls' offensive lineman Tyler Doty to become the NYS Catholic High School Discus and Shot Put State Champion. He also coached two student-athletes to school record-breaking performances.
Cameron-Pressley graduated from Buffalo State with a bachelor's degree in sociology and a minor in coaching. At Buffalo State Cameron-Pressley was a two-sport athlete, competing in track and field for four years and football for three years. He then earned his master's degree in sociology from the University at Buffalo.
Cameron-Pressley later became a coach at Buffalo State, next moving on to Heidelberg University. His most recent stop was within the Mid-American Conference, coaching at the University of Toledo for two seasons. Throughout his time with the Rockets, the program had five athletes join the all-time school ranks. Under his guidance, several student-athletes improved their performances, finishing inside the top seven at MAC Championships and earning points for their program.
Nolet joins the Buffalo coaching staff following her time as a student-athlete at Daemen University where she earned Second-Team All-ECC honors for the 5,000-meter run. She also earned Athlete of the Week honors in the East Coast Conference. Nolet grew up in Erie Ontario, just an hour west of Buffalo, before attending A. N. Myer Secondary School in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The Bulls begin the 2024-2025 track & field indoor season on December 6th. The program will split between two meets on that Friday, Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener and the Akron Invite. A complete schedule for Buffalo Track & Field can be found here.
