Bulls Sign Two Student-Athletes to Roster

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo men's tennis head coach Lee Nickell announced the signing of two student-athletes on Wednesday. Emiliano Jorquera will join the Bulls for the spring season while Minjae Kim will begin his UB career in the fall of 2025.
Jorquera transfers to Buffalo from Hampton University where he played two seasons for the Pirates, compiling a 24-12 overall singles record and 14 doubles victories. A native of Montreal, Quebec he attended Stanislas High School and had a ATP Doubles ranking of 1920 and was #2469 in ITF singles.
Nickell on Jorquera: "We are so excited to have Emiliano joining the squad this spring. A proven number one at Hampton, Emiliano is going to come in and have an instant impact for the Bulls."
Minjae Kim comes to Buffalo from Seoul, South Korea. He his freshman season at Colin College, where he was ranked eighth in all of junior college in singles and qualified for the singles draw of the ITA Cup as a freshman. He is also a two-time ITF singles and doubles champion and has an ITF ranking of 220.
Nickell on Kim: "We have spent a few years getting to know Minjae and we are so fired up he is joining our program. Minjae has a wealth of playing experience around the world and we expect him to come in and make a huge impact for us next Fall."
