BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo softball Head Coach Mike Ruechel announced the promotion of Steph Roan to Associate Head Coach on Tuesday afternoon. Roan joined the Buffalo coaching staff in August of 2021.
Since joining the staff, the Bulls won a combined 36 games the last two seasons. In those seasons, the team has flipped the record book with top-five program statistics in home runs, runs scored, RBIs, and walks. In the classroom, UB has named 12 student-athletes to Academic All-MAC honors.
"I'm excited to move Stephanie into a role where she can take on more leadership responsibilities," stated Head Coach Mike Ruechel. "She has a wealth of knowledge and experience and has made a significant impact in every area of our program since arriving a few years ago. Her promotion to Associate Head Coach is well deserved."
The Bulls will have six home fall ball games this year. They will open the fall season at Niagara on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m.
