Alexis Lucyshyn Named Second-Team All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio – University at Buffalo senior Alexis Lucyshyn was named a second-team All-MAC selection, the Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday morning. This is the third consecutive season she has been named an all-league selection.
Lucyshyn was second on the team with 18 runs batted in, while hitting .2682 and playing in all 50 games. She had 40 hits, two off the team lead, while adding 11 doubles and seven home runs. The Calgary, Alberta native had a season-high three hits and three runs batted in against the Central Michigan Chippewas.
In the circle, Lucyshyn made 27 appearances, starting in 24. She struck out 159 batters in 155.1 innings of work, walking just 36 all season. She set a career-high in strikeouts, outperforming last season's mark by 46. She had five double-digit strikeout performances, including a career-high 14 strikeouts against Norfolk State.
She finished 14th in the MAC in ERA, sixth with 10 complete games, seventh in innings pitched, sixth in strikeouts, and seventh in opponent batting average.
