Track & Field Adds To Already Impressive Recruiting Class

BUFFALO, N.Y – The University at Buffalo Track & Field team is proud to announce two more student-athletes have signed their National Letter of Intent to join the Bulls, and an already strong recruiting class.

"We are very excited about our latest signees!" said Head Coach Vicki Mitchell. "Our coaches have been working tirelessly to bring in our best recruiting class ever."

Stella Kapp - High Jump/Javelin (Kantonsschule Hohe Promenade Zurich | Kusnacht, Zurich, Switzerland)

2023 Outdoor U-20 Swiss National Champion in the High Jump
Has competed at the U-20 European Championships
Personal Bests: High Jump, 5'8.5"/Javelin 123'5.5"

"Stella is an experienced and versatile athlete at the European U20 level who will boost an already strong women's high jump group next year," said Assistant Coach Dan Johnson. "She's a fierce competitor who will be able to help improve a young and talented women's jump squad."

Akuot Kuany - High Jump/Hurdles (East Syracuse Minoa Central High School | East Syracuse, NY)
Quick Facts:

Fourth Place in the High Jump at the NYS 2023 Outdoor Championships
Personal Best: High Jump, 5'5"
Multi-sport Athlete (track & field and volleyball)

"Akuot is a talented athlete out of Section III," said Coach Johnson. "We are excited that she has committed to becoming a Bull and look forward to developing her hurdling and jumping talent at the next level."
