Bulls Drop Season Finale At NIU

The Bulls got out to a quick start as Alexis Matheney hit a first inning sacrifice fly to get the Bulls on the board. Another sac fly in the second inning from Sara Kelly gave UB a 2-0 advantage.
The Huskies got on the board in the bottom of the third, but UB answered in the top of the fourth on a solo home run from Olivia Kincanon. NIU took its first lead of the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the 4-3 lead.
In the top of the fifth, a single from Anna Aguon tied the game up, while a single from Matheney put Buffalo back in front. Alexis Lucyshyn reached on a fielder's choice to score a run and Buffalo went ahead 6-4.
NIU tied the game up with two runs in the bottom of the fifth and went ahead with two runs in the sixth. UB went in order in the seventh to end the game.
Lucyshyn got a no decision as she pitched the first five innings, striking out five. Julia Tarantino got the sixth inning and picked up the loss. Aguon went 2-for-4 in the game, recording two of Buffalo's six hits.
