
Alexis Lucyshyn Named Second-Team All-MAC

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo junior Alexis Lucyshyn was named a second-team All-MAC selection, the Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the second straight year she has been named an all-league selection.
Lucyshyn tied for the team lead offensively with 32 runs batted in, while hitting .282 and playing in all 46 games. She had 40 hits, one off the team lead, while adding five doubles and six home runs. One of her biggest hits of the year came against Kent State, where she hit a walk-off three-run home run in the eighth inning to send the Bulls to victory.
The Calgary, Alberta native had a season-high four runs batted in during a 2-for-3 performance against Marist as well as four runs batted in during a conference victory over Toledo.
In the circle, Lucyshyn made 25 appearances, finishing 11-8 with 15 complete games. She struck out 113 batters in 144.1 innings of work, walking just 36 all season. She had two double-digit strikeout performances, including a career high 13 strikeouts in that same 3-0 victory over the Golden Flashes. Earlier in the season, Lucyshyn recorded 10 strikeouts against Tarleton State.
She finished ninth in the MAC in ERA, sixth in innings pitched, ninth in strikeouts, and eighth in wins.
