BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo returns home for its third game in five days on Saturday as the Bulls host Western Michigan at Alumni Arena. Saturday's game is the second half of a double header with UB women's program and also part of Hall of Fame weekend.
UB is currently riding a five-game winning streak following road victories over Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan this past week. On Thursday, senior Ronaldo Segu became the 25th player in school history to record 1,000 points for his career. Fellow senior Josh Mballa had a pair of double-doubles this past week, averaging 19.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.
Western Michigan is coming off its first two wins of conference play with victories over Central Michigan and Akron. The Broncos feature the MAC's leading scorer in Lamar Norman Jr., who is averaging 20.0 points per game, but did not play in the first meeting with UB due to COVID protocols.
UB leads the all-time series against Western Michigan and has won the last eight meetings including a 78-64 victory in Kalamazoo on Jan. 11. UB placed five players in double figures led by 17 points from Segu. Sophomore David Skogman finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the victory.
