Bulls Head to #21 Central Michigan on Sunday with First Place on the Line

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team will travel to Central Michigan on Sunday to take on 21st-ranked Central Michigan. Winners of six straight, the Bulls are 6-1 in the Mid-American Conference. The Chippewas sit atop the MAC West standings at 6-0.
The Bulls are coming off a 17-15 win over Northern Illinois last Saturday. Trailing 15-11, Sam Mitchell (197) and Toby Cahill (285) won their matches to rally UB to the victory.
In the latest InterMat rankings, Jay Nivison is ranked 32nd at 174 lbs. He is 6-2 in duals on the season.
Central Michigan has won 10 straight duals. The Chippewas have five wrestlers in the national rankings. Brock Bergelin is ranked 33rd at 125, Dresden Simon is 12th at 141, Corbyn Munson is 27th at 149, Johnny Lovett is 16th at 157 and Matt Stencel is 8th at 285.
The Bulls will be in search of their first ever win at Central Michigan. The Chippewas lead the all-time series, 25-1.
