Bulls Back Home to Host Edinboro and Bucknell on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team will host a tri-dual against Edinboro and Bucknell on Sunday afternoon at Alumni Arena. The Bulls will face Edinboro at noon and Bucknell at 4 pm. Edinboro and Bucknell will square off at 2 pm.
The Bulls are coming off a 30-6 loss at #18 North Dakota State last Sunday. It was the fifth nationally ranked program UB has faced already this season.
Giuseppe Hoose continues to lead the Bulls at 184 pounds. The redshirt-senior is 11-2 overall and 8-2 in duals on the season and is ranked 24th.
Michael Petite is also in the national rankings, currently 25th at 157 lbs.
Edinboro will be the Bulls' first Mid-American Conference dual of the season. The Fighting Scots are 0-1 on the year after losing to Ohio, 31-12, on Dec. 10. Edinboro is led by Jared McGill. The 174-pounder is 6-1 on the season and ranked 26th in the nation.
Bucknell is 0-1 on the season in duals with a loss at #11 Oklahoma State. The Bison has two wrestlers in the national rankings. Darren Miller is 24th at 141 and Kurtis Phipps is 32nd at 133.
