Bulls Square Off Against Akron on Friday

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (0-0, 0-0 MAC) will travel to Akron, Ohio to take on MAC foe Akron (0-0, 0-0 MAC) on Friday afternoon.

SERIES HISTORY AT A GLANCE

UB leads the all-time series, 14-6. The first meet between both programs came in the 1998-99 season.
The Bulls defeated the Zips in the 2020-21 season, 169-131.
UB has won the last two meetings against Akron: 2020-21, 2019-20.
Head Coach Andy Bashor is 10-2 against Akron during his tenure at Buffalo.

LAST TIME OUT
UB competed against Cornell and Niagara at Alumni Arena Natatorium on Oct. 22. The meet was not scored. The Bulls swept the podium in the 50 and 100 butterfly, the 50 backstroke, the 50 freestyle, the 100 IM, the 400 medley relay, and the 1-meter and 3-meter dive. Toni Naccarella took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.84, and in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.64. Amanda Neeb finished first in the 100 butterfly in 56.29, and in the 50 butterfly in 25.86. Karen Austin won the 400 IM with a time of 4:31.41 and the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:08.12.
