Late Touchdown Lifts Bulls over Miami (OH), 24-20

The Bulls led 14-10 at the half and extended their lead to 17-10 on an Alex McNulty 43-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. After Miami tied the game on its next possession, miscues almost cost UB as a fumble led to a Miami field goal that put the RedHawks in front, 20-17, in the final minute of the third quarter.
Facing arguably the best defense in the MAC, the Bulls kept chipping away in the fourth quarter. Buffalo's winning drive started at its own 18 with 4:22 left. The first big play of the drive was a swing pass from Snyder to Mike Washington that went for 23 yards. Snyder followed with a 21-yard completion to Quian Williams and suddenly the Bulls were across midfield.
The Bulls were stopped at the Miami 22-yard line and settled for a McNulty field goal to tie the game, 20-20. However, Miami was offsides on the play to give Buffalo a first down. The drive continued and three plays later UB scored the game-winning touchdown.
It was Marshall's sixth catch of game and team-best fourth receiving touchdown of the season. Williams led all receivers with seven catches in the game for 77 yards.
Washington got the Bulls on the board with a 1-yard touchdown run on the Buffalo's first drive.
Shaun Dolac had the best game of his career to lead the defense. The junior linebacker had 14 tackles, including a career-best 12 solo stops, and added a career-high three tackles for loss. Jahmin Muse had his first interception as a Bull and returned it 51 yards to the Miami 1-yard line, setting up a short TD run by Snyder in the second quarter.
The Bulls (2-3, 2-0 MAC) will look to stay perfect in MAC play when they travel to Bowling Green next Saturday.
