Bulls Look to Continue Winning Streak at Kent State on Sunday

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team heads to Kent State on Sunday looking to continue their winning streak. The Bulls have won their last four duals and are 9-5 on the season.
Buffalo returns to conference action after sweeping non-conference foes LIU and Hofstra on the road last weekend. The Bulls topped LIU, 27-6, and Hofstra, 27-13.
In his last dual, Derek Spann (133) broke the program record with 51 career four-point near falls. His next dual win will be the 50th of his career – making him just the fifth wrestler in school history to win 50 duals.
Kent State is 3-4 overall and 1-1 in MAC duals. The Golden Flashes are coming off an 18-13 win over Chattanooga at the Virginia Duals on January 15. Kent State is led by Jake Ferri (125) who is 16-6 on the year and 33rd in the national rankings.
Kent State leads the all-time series, 26-10. The Golden Flashes won the last meeting 20-17 in 2020.
