
Bulls Ready to Host Diving Invite this Weekend

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (2-0, 1-0 MAC) will be hosting the UB Diving Invite this weekend. This will be the fifth consecutive season the Bulls have hosted the invite. The swimmers will be off this week as they get ready for the Akron Last Chance Invite on Feb. 27-28.
This weekend (Feb. 19-21), the UB diving team is set to host the University of Akron, Bowling Green State University, Eastern Michigan University, Ohio University, and the University of Toledo in the Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium for the UB Diving Invite. Warm-ups will take place at 9 a.m. each day of competition, followed by prelims at 11 a.m. and finals starting at approximately 12:30 p.m. The invite will start with 1-meter dive on Friday, followed by the 3-meter dive on Saturday and the platform dive on Sunday. Each day of the invite will be live streamed on YouTube with live results on DiveMeet.com.
This will be the first time all season that all five of the UB divers will be in action.
Freshman Louise Bradley is off to a stellar collegiate career as she ranks fourth in the 1-meter dive (291.07) and ninth in the 3-meter dive (288.30) in UB history. Bradley earned MAC Women's Diver of the Week Honors on Dec. 9.
Reigning Mid-American Conference Freshman Diver of the Year Victoria Franz is continuing her dominance as she has the Bulls' top score of the season in the 1-meter dive, 296.18. Franz has a season-best score of 279.60 in the 3-meter dive.
Junior Patricia Arceri last saw competition at the Zippy Invite in December. She scored a 258.00 in the 1-meter dive and a 284.93 in the 3-meter dive.
Seniors Journi Northorp and Isobel Holcomb have showed her veteran experience this season. Against Akron, Northorp scored a 246.90 in the 1-meter dive and a 278.03 in the 3-meter dive. This will be Holcomb's season debut.
