
Wende Earns Women’s Field Athlete of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Thursday afternoon this week's track and field athletes of the week. Senior Christina Wende earned this honor for women's field as she competed in the triple jump, long jump, and 60-meter hurdles.
Last Friday at the Youngstown State Icebreaker Invite, Wende weekend he won the women's triple jump in a personal best mark of 40'-05.00" (12.32-meters). She also placed fifth in the long jump in 18'-06.00" (5.64-meters) and third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.95-seconds.
This is Wende's first MAC Athlete of the Week honor.
The Bulls are back in action after the new year as they will travel to Akron, Ohio for the Akron Quad Meet on Friday, Jan. 14.
