
Bulls Host Clarion on Thursday Night in Battle of MAC Unbeatens

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team hosts Clarion on Thursday night. The Bulls have won five of their last six duals and are looking to improve to 3-0 in the Mid-American Conference.
The Bulls are coming off a sweep of Bucknell and Lock Haven on Saturday. Ben Freeman (141), John Arceri (149) and Pete Acciardi (184) all went 2-0 on the day to help the Bulls win both duals.
Derek Spann remains in the national rankings, ranked 29th at 133 lbs. He had his first fall of the season against Lock Haven, pinning Matt Maloney in the second period.
Clarion is 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the MAC. The Golden Eagles have won six straight duals. They are lead by Brent Moore who is 12-3 on the season and is ranked 31st in the national rankings.
Clarion leads the all-time series, 10-9. The Bulls won the last meeting, 20-9, last season.
