BUFFALO, NY - After traveling for much of the first month of the college basketball season, the University at Buffalo men's basketball team will not lead Buffalo until the start of 2022. Three home games and a contest at the KeyBank Center are on the horizon, beginning on Saturday afternoon with a home game against St. John Fisher.
The Bulls are coming off a 77-67 road victory at Western Kentucky on Wednesday night, handing the Hilltoppers just their fifth non-conference home loss over the last six years. Senior Josh Mballa led the Bulls with 19 points and nine rebounds, while senior Ronaldo Segu had 18 points, seven assists and six boards.
The Bulls were playing without leading scorer Jeenathan Williams who missed the first game of his career due to illness. It is expected he will return to the lineup on Saturday.
For St. John Fisher, this will be the only time the Cardinals take the court in basically a one month period as SJF has not played since a 74-61 victory against Hobart on Nov. 30 and after Saturday they won't play again until Dec. 29.
Following Saturday's game, the Bulls will take off a week for finals and will then return to action on Dec. 18 at the KeyBank Center for the Big 4 Tripleheader.
