Bulls Ready To Face Stephen F. Austin In Cancun Challenge

CANCUN, MEXICO - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will begin the foreign country portion of the Cancun Challenge on Tuesday night when the Bulls face Stephen F. Austin. UB will then face either Saint Louis or Illinois State on Wednesday.
The Bulls are 2-1 on the season following an 87-65 win over Rider on Saturday in the Cancun Challenge campus game. Jeenathan Williams led the Bulls with 19 points and he is now just 11 points shy of becoming the 24th player in school history to score 1,000 points.
Since joining the MAC, the 65 points through the first three game scored by Williams are the most from a UB player.
Maceo Jack added 18 points for the second straight game.
Stephen F. Austin is 3-1 on the season following a victory over Middle Tennessee State on Friday in their Cancun Challenge campus game.
The Bulls are 17-5 all-time against teams from the Western Athletic Conference, however 12 of those victories have come against Chicago State, who used to be in the Mid-Continent Conference with Buffalo. UB's most recent contest against a WAC school came at Grand Canyon, an 80-64 win on Nov. 24, 2014.
