Bulls Host #15 Pittsburgh on Friday Night

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team hosts 15th-ranked Pittsburgh at Alumni Arena on Friday night. It will be another tall task for the Bulls who opened the season on Nov. 1 at #23 Wisconsin.
The Bulls are coming off a 30-3 loss against the Badgers. Derek Spann earned the Bulls' lone win with an 8-4 decision. The grad student is ranked 21st in the latest InterMat rankings.
This is the first dual of the season for Pittsburgh. The Panthers have five wrestlers in the national rankings, led by Nino Bonaccorsi who is ranked #2 at 197 lbs. Jake Wentzel is ranked fourth at 165 and Micky Phillipi is ranked fifth at 133.
Pitt leads the all-time series, 3-2. The last time the teams met was during the 2013-14 campaign.
