
Swim & Dive Host Toledo on Saturday

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming & diving team (0-0, 0-0 MAC) will host MAC rival Toledo (0-1, 0-0 MAC) on Saturday morning. The Bulls are fresh off a dominant performance against Cornell last Saturday where UB won 16 of the 18 events. The Rockets fell to Oakland last Friday by a score of 186.5-113.5.
TOLEDO, WE HAVE A PROBLEM
The Bulls came out with all the bells and whistles last Saturday against Cornell, along with their freshmen class. The freshmen fit right in with the seasoned veterans on the team. The Bulls did not miss a beat as they won 16 of the 18 events. Freshman Sawyer Bosley helped the team to a win in the 200 freestyle relay as Abigail Malmstrom and Amanda Neeb followed Bosley's performance by helping the team to a win in the 400 medley relay. Marialis Kwak dove her way to the record books as she scored a 290.25 in the 3-meter dive, now 10th all-time.
SWEEPING THE ACCOLADES
Katie Pollock and Victoria Franz swept the weekly MAC awards. Pollock earned MAC Swimmer of the Week for the first time in her UB tenure. Franz won MAC Driver of the Week for the fourth time in her collegiate career. For the MAC press release, click here. For the UB press release, click here.

- This is just the third time the Bulls have a win streak that is nine wins or longer under Bashor's guidance. The most recent streak was nine wins from Feb. 4, 2017 to Feb. 3, 2018. From Nov. 12, 2011 to Jan. 19, 2013, the Bulls had a win streak of 11.
