
Bulls Sweep Weekly MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Friday morning that Katie Pollock has earned MAC Swimmer of the Week honors along with teammate Victoria Franz earning MAC Diver of the Week.
Senior Katie Pollock started the 2021-22 season strong as she won four events on Saturday afternoon against Cornell. The school record holder won her specialty in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:04.53. She also went on the win the 100 IM in 58.87-seconds. She helped her teammates out in both the 200 and 400 medley relays. The Bulls won the 200 medley relay in 1:44.95 and the 400 medley relay in 3:52.44. This marks the first time Pollock has earned this honor.
Junior Victoria Franz had a dominant day in the diving well Saturday afternoon against Cornell as she won both the 1 and 3-meter dives while qualifying for NCAA Diving Zones. Franz nearly broke the school record in the 3-meter dive with a score of 350.40, outscoring second place by over 60 points. She was just a quarter point from tying the program record set by Meili Carpenter in 2010. The junior diver also went on to score 289.13 points in the 1-meter dive.
Buffalo returns to the pool on Saturday, Oct. 30 as they host Toledo at 11 a.m.
