• The James Madison Dukes finished the 2019-20 season with a 25-4 overall record and went 16-2 in CAA play.

EXHIBITION GAME RECAP: MERCYHURST
• The University at Buffalo women's basketball team raced out to a quick start and never let up as three Bulls scored in double figures in a 85-49 victory over Mercyhurst on Wednesday afternoon.
• Eight UB players scored in the victory was led by sophomore Dyaisha Fair who recorded a double-double with 28 points and 11 boards to go along with five steals. Keowa Walters added a double-double of her own with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Hanna Hall also scored in double figures with 12 points and Adebola Adeyeye added seven points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
• The Bulls dominated the glass, outrebounding the Lakers 61-33, and the paint, doubling up Mercyhurst inside 36-18, while also scoring 28 points off of 19 Lakers turnovers.
PRESEASON PRAISE
• With the elimination of divisions for the 2020-21 season, the 12 teams were ranked from top to bottom led by Central Michigan who received 10 first place votes and 142 points. The Bulls were picked to finish fourth with 108 points behind Ohio (128) and Ball State (119).
• Buffalo also earned one vote to win the MAC Tournament Championship, while Ohio earned 10 votes and Northern Illinois garnered one vote.

• The UB roster also features two true freshmen who will be looking to make an immediate impact in their rookie campaigns.
• Cheyenne McEvans is a 5'10" combo guard who comes to Buffalo from Southfield, Michigan where she earned First Team All-State honors, while helping to lead Southfield A&T High School to the state Final Four twice. Off the court, McEvans was the valedictorian of her high school class.
• Sophia Ojhammar is a 5'9" guard from Solna Sweden. Ojhammar won a gold medal at the 2018 U17 Swedish Championship and was awarded MVP honors after scoring 24 points in the championship game. She competed at the 2017 Baltic Sea Basketball Cup as part of the U16 team, spent time with the U17 national team and also trained with the U18 national team in the summer of 2018.

RUNNING WITH THE BULLS
• Buffalo recorded eight or more fast break points in 24 of 31 games last season, outscoring opponents 376-260 in transition.

ANOTHER 19+ WIN SEASON
• The wins continue to pile up for the Bulls under head coach Felisha Legette-Jack as they produced their fifth straight 19+ win campaign in 2019-20.
