Bulls Host SIU-Edwardsville on Friday in Search of Fifth Straight Win

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo wrestling team will host SIU-Edwardsville at Alumni Arena on Friday night at 7 pm. The Bulls have been wrestling much better as of late, winning four straight duals and five of their last six.
Buffalo is 6-6 overall, 2-2 in the MAC and coming off a pair of wins on Sunday against Edinboro and Gannon. The Bulls were led by 15th-ranked Derek Spann who won both his matches by technical fall. The redshirt-junior has been dominant all season, winning seven of his 11 dual matches by tech fall.
SIU-Edwardsville is 1-6 on the season, including 0-3 in MAC duals. The Cougars are led by Justin Ruffin at 157 lbs. The sophomore is 16-5 overall and 6-1 in duals on the season.
The Bulls lead the all-time series, 3-1. The Cougars won the last meeting, 20-16, in Edwardsville last season.
