
Shevaughn Allen Named MAC Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday afternoon that sophomore Shevaughn Allen has been named the MAC Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
Shevaughn Allen won the Youngstown State University Invite with a new UB school record and new Youngstown State facility record distance of 15.96m/52'4.50" in the triple jump. His jump was over six feet further than the nearest competitor. Allen's mark is a MAC automatic qualifier as it also ranks first in the MAC and sixth in the NCAA.
This marks Allen's first MAC Athlete of the Week honor.
Buffalo returns back to action on Saturday as they will travel to Ithaca, N.Y. for the Upstate Challenge hosted by Ithaca College. The meet is set to start at 11 a.m.
