
Swim and Dive to Host Ohio on Saturday

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team (1-2, 1-1 MAC) will host the Ohio Bobcats (0-4, 0-2 MAC) on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 11 a.m. in the Alumni Arena Pool and Natatorium. The Bulls are 3-12 all-time against the Bobcats with their last win coming in a 161-139 decision in the 2017-18 season in Athens, Ohio.
FAMILIAR FOE
This will not be the first time the Bulls have seen the Bobcats this season as they both participated in the Ohio State Invite in late November. UB went on to finish in seventh place with 753 points as Ohio finished in eighth with 466.50 points.
LAST TIME OUT
Junior Jillian Lawton won the 50 free (23.63) and the 100 free in 51.58. UB went on to sweep Penn State in the 100 free as Antonia Naccarella placed second (51.71) and Katie Burns finished third in 51.88. Lawton also helped the team capture wins in the 200 and 400 free relays.
Brittney Beetcher set a new season-best in the 200 free (1:52.92) and in the 1000 free (10:17.53). She passed the previous season-best in the 1000 free by over 6 seconds.
Olivia Sapio had her season-best in the 400 IM as she finished in 4:24.89 while claiming second place.
At the UB Diving Invite, freshman Victoria Franz set a new UB pool record in the 1-meter dive with a score of 323.35 passing Danielle Hulvey (2013) of Eastern Michigan.
