
Track and Field Welcomes New Assistant Coach

BUFFALO, NY - Vicki Mitchell, Director of Track and Field/Cross Country has announced the addition of Kaishaun Cathey to the University at Buffalo track and field coaching staff.
"We are thrilled to have Coach Cathey formally join our staff," stated head coach Vicki Mitchell. "He brings knowledge, experience and passion that will help our student-athletes continue to grow and reach new levels."
Coach Cathey will be working with Coach Collins and the talented jumps group, while being able to share his knowledge and experiences to help student-athletes continue to excel in all areas. He is also continuing to train and compete at the national level as a triple jumper.
Cathey is a 2017 graduate from the University at Buffalo and was an All-MAC performer in his time at UB. Cathey holds the UB indoor school record in the triple jump of 51'10.50" (15.81m) set in 2017 at the Great Dame Invite. He was also a team leader during his time as a student-athlete.
Cathey served as a volunteer coach for the Bulls during the 2018-19 season, and has worked as the UB summer camp coach in the horizontal jumps.
