
UB Football Announces Initial 2020 Signing Class

University at Buffalo football head coach Lance Leipold announced the initial signees for the 2020 recruiting class on the first day of the National Signing Period on Wednesday. The initial 13-member signing class is balanced with eight offensive players and six defensive players.
"We're really excited about this group," head coach Lance Leipold said. "We were able to address our needs, especially on the offensive line, with the graduation of three seniors. One of the key aspects of this recruiting class is that seven of them will enroll in January, with six having all four years of eligibility. "
The initial class is comprised of three defensive linemen, two defensive tackles, two running backs, a tight end, a quarterback, a wide receiver, a defensive end, a defensive back, and a linebacker. The newest class comes to UB from six different states and Canada, including Maryland (5), New York (3), Pennsylvania, Illinois, Florida, Oregon and Ontario.
"I'd like to thank our staff, especially Rob Ianello, Grant Murray, Tim Silvernail and Kelly Cruttenden who helped make our signing day run smoothly especially while being in a foreign country," Leipold added.
