
Five Bulls Set to Compete at NCAA East Preliminaries

BUFFALO, NY – Five members of the University at Buffalo track and field team will compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries beginning on Thursday at the University of South Florida. Miranda Daucher, Selina Von Jackowski, Mitchell Moore, Devon Patterson and Sam Wray will compete looking to advance to the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Oregon.
Daucher will compete in the discus. The senior from Alden, NY placed fourth at the Mid-American Conference Championships in the discus. Her top throw of 176'2" at the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 14 ranks 34th in the nation.
Von Jackowski will compete in the 100m high hurdles after winning the gold medal at the MAC Championships in a school-record time of 13.16. The Switzerland native ranks 35th nationally in the event.
Moore was also a MAC champion in the 400m hurdles after running a personal-best time of 51.98. He currently ranks 89th nationally in the event.
Patterson will compete in the shot put at the East Preliminaries for the second straight year. The local product earned the silver medal at the MAC Championships. His best throw of the season was 60'4" at the Florida Relays and he's ranked 45st in the country.
Finally, Wray will compete in the discus after earning the silver medal at the MAC Championships. He recorded his best throw of the season of 174'8" at the Bison Outdoor Classic.
