
Hanna Hall Named To U19 Canadian Women's National Team

TORONTO, ON – Incoming University at Buffalo women's basketball freshman point guard Hanna Hall has earned a spot on the U19 Canadian National women's basketball team for the upcoming 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup in Udine and Cividale del Friuli, Italy. Hall is one of two point guards to make the final Canadian roster.
The Buffalo freshman is just one of three players that will participate in the NCAA next season, joining Aislinn Konig (North Carolina State) and Kendra Van Leeuwen (Wisconsin).
Hall will join the Bulls experienced roster this season after a successful career in Canada at the high school level as well as the national level. Hall played at Lincoln Prep last season and she also made her national team debut as a member of the U17 Cadette team who placed seventh at the FIBA World Championships in Zaragoza, Spain. She played six games at the U17 World Championships and averaged 18.1 minutes/game as led the team with 2.5 assists/game.
The team is currently at training camp until July 11th at Humber College – North and will travel to Voiron, France for an exhibition tournament from July 15-17 en route to Italy. Canada is set to compete against 3rd ranked France, 7th ranked Australia and 9th ranked China and will face host France Saturday July 15 at 12 PM EST.
Hall and the Canadian National Team will open up the 2017 FIBA World Cup on Saturday, July 22 against 15th ranked Korea at 8:00 AM EST in Udine, Italy. The Canadians will then take on France on July 23 and Latvia on July 25 in Cividale del Friuli, Italy.
