
Ally Power Named Academic All-MAC

BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo sophomore Ally Power has been named Academic All-MAC, the conference office announced on Wednesday morning.
Power is a communications major with a 3.206 GPA. Power was a second-team All-MAC selection at the utility/pitcher spot. She made 26 appearances in the circle, including 19 starts and 11 complete games. She had a 3.27 ERA and struck out 95 batters, all team-highs for UB this past season. She struck out 11 batters on Apr. 4 in a 6.0 inning performance against Akron and struck out 10 earlier this year against George Mason.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
