
UB Track and Field to host The Mile 716 on April 30

BUFFALO, NY - In conjunction with their lone home meet of the year, Buffalo's track and field team will be hosting The Mile 716 on April 30. This race will be the first race in the Runners Roost 1 Mile Challenge Series and will take place in UB Stadium located on the university's North Campus.
Pre-registration is encouraged by completing the registration form and mailing it in or by completing the online registration. Those who register online or have their paper registration received by Thursday, April 28. The online registration form can be accessed here. A printable registration form can be found here. Registration on the day of the event costs $15.
This race is open to anyone interested in running a mile. All registrants will receive two ticket vouchers for a home UB Bulls football game during the 2016 season. Special awards will be given to the top male finisher, top female finisher, and the top Masters male and Masters female winner.
Each of the winning participants will be given a four-pack of VIP passes to one of the artists performing during the UB football concert series before every home game, four tickets to a 2016 UB football game.
There will be five different heats tentatively scheduled. The number of races and breakdown of time may change based on the number of entries.
11:00 am - Youth 14 and Under (Youth may run any Open race instead)
11:20 am - Open race #1 (seed times 9:00/mile and over)
11:40 am - Open race #2 (seed times 7:00-8:59/mile)
12:00 pm - Open race #3 (seed times 5:31-6:59)
12:10 pm - Open race #4 (seed times under 5:30)
