Bulls Defeat Toledo in Thrilling MAC match

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY - Buffalo returned to Miller Tennis Center looking to get back to winning ways after dropping a heartbreaker to Western Michigan in their last home match. UB earned a 5-2 win over the Toledo Rockets by winning the doubles point and then earning singles win at third through six singles.
Sergio Arevalillo and Ethan Nittolo won 7-5 to secure the doubles point for the Bulls. Pablo Alvarez and Amar Hromic won their fourth doubles match in a row, 6-1.
Singles play saw the bottom half of the Bulls lineup step up. Arevalillo made quick work at third singles to win his sixth-straight match in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. Local product Tony Miller stepped up again at sixth singles to provide the Bulls their third team point with a 6-4, 7-5 win. Nittolo cliched the match for Bufflo with a 7-5, 7-6(2) victory at fifth singles moments before Akhil Mehta won a three set thriller on a service ace, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.
The Bulls continue their six-game homestand when they host Western Michigan on Sunday, April 10 at Miller Tennis Center. The match is set to start at 9:00 am and is the second time the two teams will play against each other this season.
