Bulls Release 2016 Football Schedule

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo football team will kick off the 2016 season on September 3 against Albany at UB Stadium. Buffalo released its entire 2016 football schedule on Monday.
Following the opener against the Great Danes, the Bulls will travel to Nevada to take on the Wolf Pack on September 17. Nevada edged out the Bulls, 24-21, at UB Stadium last season. The Bulls only other trip to Reno was in 2004.
The Bulls will return home to host Army on September 24. It will be the Black Knights first trip to UB Stadium since the 2008 season. The Bulls won that game, 27-24, in overtime, en route to winning the MAC Championship.
UB will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule at Boston College on October 1. The Bulls last played at Boston College in 2006.
The Bulls will open Mid-American Conference play with two straight home games. Buffalo will host Kent State on October 8 followed by Ball State on October 15.
After a game at Northern Illinois on October 22, the Bulls will play two consecutive midweek nationally-televised games. UB will host Akron on Thursday, October 27 on either the CBS Sports Network or ESPN3 and then travel to Ohio on Thursday, November 3. The game against the Bobcats will air on the CBS Sports Network.
Buffalo will host Miami (OH) in its home finale on November 12 before hitting the road for the final two games of the season. The Bulls will close out the regular season at Western Michigan on November 19 and Bowling Green on November 25.
