BUFFALO, NY - The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men's soccer team opened up their 2015 season on Friday night with a decisive 2-0 victory over Seton Hill in front of 815 fans at UB Stadium. Braden Culver and Steven Stryker notched the goals for the Bulls in Cameron Hogg's second career clean sheet.

- The Short Story: Braden Culver opened the scoring for the Bulls in the 22nd minute and Steven Stryker notched a header goal in the second half to give the Bulls some breathing room and the victory. The UB defense limited Seton Hill to nearly no dangerous opportunities as Cameron Hogg made five saves in the shutout victory.

How It Happened
- UB controlled possession early on and and finally in the 22nd minute of play the Bulls were rewarded with the games first goal. Alec Fisher started the play with a nice pass to Scott Doney who dropped a perfect back heel pass off to a sprinting Braden Culver who buried the ball into the top left corner of the net over a diving Seton Hill keeper.
- After back-to-back yellow cards on the Griffins, UB kept pressing and had a great opportunity but Fox Slotemakers hard shot from in close was blocked away out of bounds, keeping the score 1-0 in advantage of the home team at halftime.
- After Cameron Hogg was forced to make a save just two minutes into the second half, the Bulls notched their second goal of the match in the 48th minute to give themselves some breathing room. Braden Scales made a nice run down the right sideline and whipped a perfect cross into the box where Steven Stryker got his head on the ball and beat the Seton Hill keeper. The goal was Stryker's first career marker.
- Seton Hill came right back and forced Cameron Hogg to make a pair of solid saves but the Auckland, New Zealand native was up to the test.
- The Bulls kept the pressure on the Griffins deep into the second half as Fox Slotemaker had a great chance that was saved after the corner kick from Russell Cicerone found its way to his feet.

- The Bulls improved to 8-0-1 in their last nine home opening matches.
- Junior Braden Culver picked up his second career goal in the 22nd minute. Culver also scored the Bulls first goal of the 2014 campaign. The goal also turned out to be his first career game-winner.
- Junior Steven Stryker scored his first career goal in the second half. Stryker had a great spring for the Bulls in England as he notched four goals.
- Scott Doney picked up his first career point as a member of the UB Bulls with his assist on Culver's goal in the first half.

- Braden Scales earned his first career assist with a perfect cross on Stryker's header goal.
- The five save clean sheet for Cameron Hogg was the second of his career as he earned his first in his freshman campaign against Houghton.

- The Bulls dominated corner kicks, holding the 9-2 advantage in that category.
- The Bulls were whistled for 11 fouls while the Griffins had nine for the contest.
