MOUNT PLEASANT, MI – The University at Buffalo, the State University of New York football team dropped a road contest to Central Michigan, 51-14, at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on a cool and breezy Saturday afternoon.

Scoring Plays
- Central Michigan took the opening kickoff and drove 78 yards on seven plays. Martez Walker scored on a 6-yard touchdown run. (UB 0, CMU 7, 11:56 1Q)
- The Bulls put together a nice drive the second time they got the ball and drove 71 yards on seven plays. Joe Licata connected with Ron Willoughby for a 34-yard touchdown to tie the game. (UB 7, CMU 7, 6:03 1Q)

Inside the Numbers:
- After back-to-back weeks of putting up gaudy offensive numbers, the Central Michigan defense held the Bulls to a season-low 241 yards of total offense.
- Joe Licata finished 13-of-25 for 133 yards, a touchdown and an interception off a tipped ball.
- Anthone Taylor was the Bulls leading rusher with 52 yards on 13 carries. Jordan Johnson rushed for 23 yards and freshman Johnathan Hawkins added 15 yards, including an 11-yard scamper.
- Continuing a recent trend, senior tight end Matt Weiser led all UB receivers with four catches for 29 yards.
- Ron Willoughby had two receptions for 53 yards and a score. Mason Schreck, Anthone Taylor and Jordan Johnson each had a pair of catches as well.
- Brandon Berry had a game-high 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss.
- Marqus Baker had a career-high 10 tackles in the game.
- Brandon Crawford had his second sack of the season and a forced fumble to go along with five tackles.
- Tyler Grassman punted it four times for a 41.8 yards average.

Central Michigan won the turnover battle, 4-1.
Game Changer
Trailing, 21-7, midway through the second quarter, the Chippewas blocked a UB punt for a safety and scored again on the ensuing drive to quickly extend the lead to 30-7.
Nota-BULLS
- Joe Licata threw his 68th career touchdown pass in the game to tie former Northern Illinois great Chandler Harnish for 14th in Mid-American Conference history.
- Andrews Dadeboe made his first career interception count, taking it 17 yards to the house.
- It was UB's second pick six of the season. Boise Ross had one at Florida Atlantic.
- With 11 tackles, Brandon Berry has now reached double-digits in the tackle column for the fourth straight game.
- Matt Weiser now has 29 catches on the year, tying his number of receptions from his first three seasons combined.
- Boise Ross had another pass breakup today and now ranks fourth in school history for single-season passes defended with 14 – two shy of the school record.
- Redshirt-freshman quarterback Chris Merchant saw the first action of his career – missing on his only pass attempt.
- Though it was the eighth meeting between the schools, this was just UB's second game at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

The Bulls will return home to host Ohio next Saturday at 3:30 pm at UB Stadium. The Bobcats are 5-2 and are coming off a 49-14 loss against Western Michigan on Saturday.
