
UB Indoor Track & Field Teams Picked Fourth in MAC Preseason Poll

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo, State University of New York indoor track & field teams were both picked to finish fourth in the Mid-American Conference preseason poll announced Friday.
Both UB teams had their strongest showings in program history at the 2014 Indoor MAC Championships at Kent State. The women's team collected a fourth-place finish, the highest in school history. The men also recorded a fourth-place finish tallying a school-record 101 points.
The two day meet resulted in six individual champions and two relay team titles for the Bulls, as well as 11 new school records.
UB returns indoor All-Americans Jonathan Jones and Mike Morgan. Jones placed 12th in the shot and Morgan was seventh in the heptathlon on the national stage. Also returning for UB are MAC titlists Alec Peinkofer, Brian Cummiskey, Tyler Scheving and Brian Crimmins in the DMR and Chris Reape in the high jump, as well as Jones in the shot and Morgan in the multi. Camaria Long was victorious in the 200-meter dash and ran on the Bulls' first-place 4x400 relay team.
Track & field competition will commence on Jan. 16 with the Bulls traveling to the Armory in New York City for the Gotham Cup.
