
Bulls Welcome Jibb to 2015-16 Cross Country, T&F Teams

BUFFALO, NY – The State University of New York, Buffalo cross country and track & field director and head coach Vicki Mitchell announced the signing of Jack Jibb to a National Letter of Intent.
Jibb, a Monroe-Woodbury High School product, was a Section 9 champion and a state finalist in cross country. He clocked a career-best 3,200-meter time of 9:14.55 and a 5:57.24 finish in the 2,000 steeplechase to place fourth at the New Balance National High School Championships. Jibb began his high school career at Niagara Wheatfield High School.
"Jack's development over the last year has been incredible. He has placed himself among the best distance runners in New York State," Mitchell praised. "He is a state finalist in the 3,200 and 3,000 steeple on the track, and a top contender in cross country. Jack is going to add depth and strength to our men's distance squad."
The Bulls cross country teams concluded their 2014 seasons on Friday at the NCAA Northeast Region Championships. Track & field competition will commence on Jan. 16 with the Gotham Cup held at the Armory in New York City.
