Bulls Complete Action At NCAA East Preliminary

GREENSBORO, NC – The University at Buffalo Track and Field team completed their weekend at the NCAA East Preliminary Round as the last of a record 20 athletes competed in their respective events. All of the UB action on Saturday took place in the field events.
The Bulls had two competitors in the women's shot put as Kristy Woods finished 33rd in the event with a throw of 14.51m, while Rachel Roberts finished 41st with a throw of 13.68m.
Austin Price finished in 26th place in triple jump with a leap of 14.88m, while Chris Reape finished in 38th place in the high jump at 2.05m. Also competing on Saturday was Evan Palmer, who fouled on all three of his attempts in the hammer throw.
The Bulls will now turn their attention to the NCAA Outdoor National Championships, which will take place from June 5-8. Buffalo will send two competitors as Shant'e White qualified in the women's hammer throw, while Jonathan Jones will take part in the men's shot put.
