
Bulls Roll Past Chicago State, 7-0

CHICAGO, IL – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team scored a 7-0 victory over Chicago State on Saturday night in Mid-American Conference play. The Bulls are now 8-8 and remain undefeated in MAC play at 3-0 as they head for Sunday's first-place showdown at Northern Illinois.
The Bulls took the opening doubles point with wins in the first and second matches. Damien David and Vusa Hove defeated Mario Noboa and Sergiu Mureson, 8-2 at number one. Wojciech Starakiewicz and Travis Zappia were victorious at number two over Julian Chavez and Rashley Yeremia, 8-4.
UB did not drop a set to the Cougars (0-24, 0-4 MAC), winning all five scheduled matches. David won over Mureson, 6-2, 6-2 at number one for his 22nd singles win of the season. Hove, playing at number two, scored a 6-2, 6-0 win over Noboa. Hove has scored seven 6-0 wins in his singles matches this season.
The Bulls travel to DeKalb for a showdown with Northern Illinois on Sunday. Start time will be determined on whether the match will be played indoors or outdoors.
