
Buffalo and Washington State Clash in Seattle on Friday

SEATTLE, WA - The University at Buffalo men's basketball team will play its first ever game in the state of Washington when it plays Washington State in Seattle on Friday. The teams are playing in the Cougar Hardwood Classic at KeyArena. Tipoff is slated for 10:30 pm EST.
Buffalo is riding a two-game winning streak after defeating Milwaukee and Niagara. The Bulls will be playing its first game since losing starting point game Jarod Oldham to a wrist injury suffered at practice. Jarryn Skeete will likely earn the start at point guard. The true freshman from Brampton, ON is averaging 2.2 points and 2.0 rebounds while playing 12 minutes per game. Tony Watson should also see extended minutes. The senior guard, who has experience playing the point, is averaging nine points per game.
Washington State is 7-4 on the season and is coming off a 52-41 win over Jackson State on Dec. 13. The Cougars are led by Brock Motum who is averaging 20.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
This is the third meeting between the teams. Washington State won the previous two meetings, both played in Buffalo, 56-44, in 1949 and, 70-49, in 1950.
The game will be televised live on the PAC-12 Network. Fans can also listen to the game on WECK 1230 AM/102.9 FM.
