
UB Women's Basketball Releases 2010-11 Schedule

BUFFALO, NY – Sixth-year head coach Linda Hill-MacDonald has announced the 2010-11 women's basketball schedule including 13 non-conference games to kick off the year.
The Bulls begin the season on a two-game homestand, hosting Howard in the season opener on Friday, November 12. UB remains home on Monday, Nov. 15 when it hosts Cleveland State. The following weekend the Bulls head to the Keystone State for a pair of games in Pennsylvania. UB heads to Temple on Nov. 19 and then finishes the weekend at Bucknell on Nov. 21. The Bulls wrap up November when they head to the Cancun Thanksgiving Tournament for a pair of games. In Cancun, the Bulls will face Big Ten foe Michigan on Nov. 26 and then will face William & Mary the next day.
The Bulls open up December at Big Four rival Canisius on Dec. 1 before beginning their longest homestand of the year. UB hosts Duquesne on Dec. 6 and then a pair of Big Four opponents in St. Bonaventure (Dec. 10) and Niagara (Dec. 21). UB will finish non-conference play with three road games beginning at the Lehigh Christmas Tournament. The Bulls face Mississippi State on Dec. 29 and then either Rider or Lehigh on Dec. 30. The Bulls wrap up non-conference action at Brown on Jan. 2.
"This year's non-conference schedule will greatly prepare us for the MAC come early January," said head coach Linda Hill-MacDonald. "We are looking forward to playing some very good teams from the Big Ten, SEC and Atlantic 10 as well as our Thanksgiving Tournament down in Cancun."
UB will begin league playon the road at Akron on Jan. 5 and will play each member of the MAC East twice, once at home and once on the road. The Bulls will also play each member of the MAC West once, travelling to Central Michigan, Toledo and Eastern Michigan. UB will host the three furthest schools in the MAC with home contests against Western Michigan, Ball State and Northern Illinois.
The Bulls will close out their regular season schedule on the road travelling to Bowling Green on March 2. The 2011 Mid-American Conference Tournament will begin with first round games at campus sites on March 5, followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals at the Quicken Loans Arena from March .
