
Kourtney Brown Named MAC East Player Of The Week

BUFFALO, NY – Preseason All-MAC selection Kourtney Brown has been named MAC East Player of the Week, the Mid-American Conference Office announced on Monday afternoon. It is the first time this season that Brown has won the honor and the eighth time in her career.
Brown finished with 25.0 points and 14.3 rebounds during UB's three games this past week. Brown had a career-high 34 points against Cleveland State and then finished with a season-best 18 rebounds against Temple. She also added 12 blocks over the three games, breaking UB's all-time career record blocked shots. Brown had nine straight double-doubles, before finishing with 24 points and nine rebounds in UB's win over Bucknell.
Through the first four games of the season, Brown is averaging 24.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game. Brown currently leads the MAC in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and offensive rebounds.
The Bulls return to action on Friday when they head to the Cancun Thanksgiving Classic. UB faces Michigan on Friday night at 7:15 EST and William & Mary on Saturday at 5:00 pm EST.
